Thank you

An appreciated thank you to your staff for your expediency in getting me back on the road last week. No one wants to deal with “Collisions” but it sure helps when you get to deal with professionals like yourselves. -Thanks Aga.

FAQs
  • I’VE JUST BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT. WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW?
    • After you are sure that any injuries have been taken care of, be sure to obtain the name, address, telephone number, license plate number and driver’s license number of any other motorists involved.

If your vehicle is not drivable, remove any personal items from the vehicle and it will be towed to SGI’s Commercial Claims Centre on Fleet Street.

If your vehicle is drivable, call an SGI Claims Centre (East Claims 775-6100 or Northwest Claims 751-1665) to make an appointment to take your vehicle through their claims centre for an estimate. Please have your driver’s license, registration and information about the other party handy when you call.

After the estimate is completed, bring your claim form and vehicle to Advanced Collision and we will begin the repair process.
  • WHO DO I PAY MY DEDUCTIBLE TO?
    • Your deductible (typically $700.00, unless you have a package policy or you were not at fault) is payable to Advanced Collision upon completion of the repairs to your vehicle. We do not discount deductibles due to our agreement with SGI.
  • WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DOES ADVANCED COLLISION ACCEPT?
    • We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard and debit card payment.
  • WHAT KIND OF WARRANTY WILL I RECEIVE? WILL MY DEALER WARRANTY BE AFFECTED?
    • Advanced Collision offers a limited lifetime warranty on all repairs and painting. Your dealer warranty will normally not be affected after collision repairs are completed by a repair facility other than your dealership.
  • WILL I GET A VEHICLE TO DRIVE WHILE MINE IS IN THE SHOP?
    • Advanced Collision has a fleet of loaner cars that are available to approved drivers on a first come, first served basis. We may also be able to arrange a rental vehicle for you if you are eligible. Please call the office for further information.
  • WHAT ARE BETTERMENT CHARGES?
    • Betterment charges are determined by SGI on parts that wear out. For example, if a tire is determined to be 20% worn out, SGI will apply 20% betterment charges on that part, payable by the customer to Advanced Collision. Also, SGI may apply betterment to parts that had previous damage on them.
